Yu Shui was born in 1955 in Beijing, he went on to graduate from the Chinese Painting Masters of the Chinese National Academy of Arts. His work Everlasting Regret and Huo Xiaoyu both individually won the bronze prize at the 6th and 7th National Fine Arts Exhibition.

 

Yu Shui has held solo and group exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Taipei and other places of China. Many of his works are in famous collections such as the National Art Museum of China, the Shanghai Art Museum, Zhongnanhai, Sun Yat Sen Memorial House as well as many other art institutions.
